The nursing pathway provides a wide variety of options for employment, beginning with Nurse Assisting and continue to the Practical Nurse certificate and Registered Nurse degree program. Students can choose to attend classes part-time, full-time, or in an accelerated format.

Nurse Assistant

Working under the supervision of the medical staff, a Nurse Assistant is a vital part of the healthcare team in helping to improve the health and quality of life for the physically and mentally ill.

Practical Nurse Exit Option

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, a Practical Nurse provides bedside care for the patient, administers medications, and performs treatments ordered by the Physician.

Practical Nurse Fast Track

Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, a Practical Nurse provides bedside care for the patient, administers medications, and performs treatments ordered by the Physician.

Registered Nurse

Registered Nurses (RNs) are advocates and educators of good health. As an RN, you will be in a position to provide direct patient care by helping physicians assess and treat patients, administer medications, and instruct patients on steps to improve their health.

Continuing Education

As a student in the Nursing Continuing Education program at GateWay, you will gain critical knowledge and skills to enter the healthcare field. You also have the opportunity to continue above the entry level, after you have become a vital member of the health care community, to function more effectively and competently in your chosen role.
