Overview
In the spirit of Continuing Education for the GateWay Nursing program, our comprehensive goals include:
- Providing courses designed to impart knowledge and skills in patient management above the entry level for practicing health care professionals (both advanced and refresher courses).
- Providing courses to students who wish to enter the health care field at an entry-level certification program specific to the role of the Patient Care Technician and the Nurse Assistant.
- Partnering with health care agencies to provide diverse learning experiences to expand the student's scope and depth of knowledge.
- Collaborating with health care agencies to identify the evolving needs of the community and to plan and implement a program of study.
The Nursing Continuing Education (NCE) at GateWay Community College is the largest in the state, and offers an exciting variety of one-day workshops, three 9-week courses, and full semester course studies for credit.
